Devin Amato
Low Brass
Devin Amato (B.A. Music Education, Montclair State University) teaches
low brass instruments at Peak Performance.
A student of Kyle Turner, Principal Tuba of the New York Philharmonic for the 2001-2004 Seasons, Devin played as Principal Tuba of the Montclair State University Band and Wind Ensemble for several years. In addition, he also played tuba for several small ensembles, including subbing for the Basically Brass Quintet, playing first Tuba in the MSU Tuba-Euphonium ensemble.
Devin Amato has been active as a freelance tuba player for the last several years, playing in wedding bands, religious services, and other community gatherings. He has also played at various commencement ceremonies as well.
In addition, Devin has been teaching students privately since 2001. He is currently working as the band director in Tinton Falls and his duties include teaching instrumental lessons, and directing the elementary 4th and 5th grade bands.
