Thein Amato
High Brass
Thein Amato (B.M. Music Performance, Montclair State University)
teaches high brass instruments at Peak Performance.
Recognized as an outstanding free-lance trumpeter in the New Jersey area, he performs frequently with the Bloomfield Youth Band, The Basically Brass Quintet and at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
While attending Montclair State University, he studied with Donald Batchelder and Charles Bumcrot. Other influential teachers include Kevin Cobb, Ramond Maze and Philip Smith.
Mr. Amato's recent solo appearances: The Hummel Trumpet Concerto by Johann Hummel, with the Montclair State Orchestra and Herbert L. Clarke's Southern Cross with the accompanist Crystl Balthazar.
Mr. Amato joined the music faculty of Peak Performance in September 2006.
